Choriatiki salad

Choriatiki salad is the most popular traditional Greek salad. It is an excellent source of fiber due to the combination of different vegetables, as well as protein due to the presence of feta cheese. Also, it is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamins of the B complex, folic acid, calcium, phosphorus, iron, selenium, zinc.


For the salad:

4 medium tomatoes

2 medium cucumbers

1 medium dry red onion

2 medium green peppers

20 gr. caper

10 olives

150 gr. slice

For the dressing:

4 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp dried oregano

A little salt and pepper


Execution method

1. Wash the vegetables very well and drain them.

2. Cut the tomatoes in half and remove the stem. Cut them into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Add a little salt and leave them aside.

3. Peel and cut the cucumber. Put it in the bowl with the tomato and set aside. You can also leave the cucumber with the peel.

4. Cut the peppers into small strips and the onions into very thin slices and put them in the bowl with the rest of the ingredients.

5. Add the capers, olives, feta cheese, pepper, oregano, vinegar, olive oil and serve.
